Fiat outlined further details of its Multiplina electric concept in a statement dated 23 October 2026, following the model’s appearance at the Paris Motor Show. The four-seat vehicle is designed around an all-electric L7 heavy-quadricycle architecture, with a body measuring 3.04 metres in length.
Fiat Multiplina dimensions and seating
According to the manufacturer, the Multiplina measures 3.04 metres long, 1.40 metres wide and 1.53 metres high. The concept seats four occupants within a footprint considerably smaller than that of a conventional passenger car. Fiat describes the vehicle as a potential addition to the mobility category between its two-seat Topolino and a conventional compact car.
The L7 category refers to heavy quadricycles, which are regulated separately from standard M1 passenger cars. Fiat has presented the Multiplina as a concept, not as a production vehicle with announced retail specifications.
Design takes inspiration from the 1956 Fiat 600 Multipla
The new design refers to Fiat’s original 600 Multipla, introduced in 1956. The historic model could accommodate six occupants despite a body length of approximately 3.5 metres. Fiat says the Multiplina adapts the same approach to interior packaging for battery-electric urban transport.
The concept uses a forward-positioned windscreen, two-tone exterior finishes, a distinctive front panel and rear detailing intended to recall elements of the original Multipla. Its upright cabin layout is intended to make the available space usable for four people without requiring a conventional car-sized body.
What the electric Multiplina is designed for
Fiat identifies short urban journeys as the vehicle’s principal use case, including commuting, travel to school, shopping and daily errands. The manufacturer’s presentation emphasises compact dimensions and lower material requirements as part of its proposed approach to city mobility.
Fiat calls the concept a Multi-Purpose Quadricycle, intended to combine four-seat accommodation with the simplicity of an urban quadricycle. It sits within a wider group of Fiat mobility concepts shown in Paris, alongside the larger and differently configured Multiplay concept. Multiplina and Multiplay are separate vehicles.
Production status, range and price
As of Fiat’s 23 October announcement, the company had not specified a production battery capacity, certified driving range, motor output, retail price or confirmed customer-delivery date for Multiplina. The figures published so far describe the concept’s dimensions and intended architecture, not a final model available to order.
