TAIPEI, October 30, 2026 — Hon Hai Technology Group, also known as Foxconn, unveiled three electric vehicle reference models at Hon Hai Tech Day 2026 (HHTD26) in Taipei. The new vehicles are the Model A+ and Model K+ sport utility vehicles and the Model K compact truck.
The company said the additions expand its reference electric-vehicle portfolio to 12 models and demonstrate its contract design and manufacturing service (CDMS) capabilities for automotive customers. The three vehicles were presented as reference designs for business customers, rather than as retail vehicles with announced prices or delivery dates.
Model A+: A B-segment electric SUV reference design
The Model A+ is aimed at the B-segment SUV market. Foxconn described the design as combining an expressive exterior with a spacious interior. The concept incorporates in-wheel motor technology and selectable electrical and electronic architecture (EEA). Foxconn also identified flood-related use cases, temporary living accommodation and backup power for camping and other outdoor activities among the design considerations.
Model K+: An adaptable compact electric SUV
The Model K+ is an electric SUV reference design intended for automakers seeking distinctive, more affordable models for younger buyers. Foxconn said its styling draws on Japanese city-pop aesthetics of the 1970s and 1980s. It also uses in-wheel motor technology and offers scope for customization of its exterior, interior, driving range and electrical and electronic architecture, depending on customer requirements.
Model K: A compact electric commercial truck
The Model K targets the kei-class compact truck market and applications such as last-mile deliveries and mobility services. Foxconn said the vehicle takes design cues from its Model T electric bus and features a concept with a relatively low cargo-bed height and longer bed. The company positioned it for business operators and public-sector users pursuing lower energy and maintenance costs.
Battery and powertrain technology on display
Alongside the vehicles, Foxconn displayed elements of its Taiwan-based electric-vehicle technology ecosystem, including battery materials, cells, packs, battery management systems, electrical and electronic architecture, and powertrains for two- and three-wheeled electric vehicles. A right-hand-drive Model B was also shown, while Honda R&D and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility representatives discussed their respective electromobility activities with Foxconn.
Foxconn has not announced final customer-market launch dates, retail pricing or certified range figures for the three newly introduced reference designs.
