MUNICH, October 30, 2026 — XPENG has confirmed that it will present the European-market version of its new L05 family SUV at the Brussels Motor Show, scheduled for January 8–17, 2027. The announcement follows the model’s introduction in China, where it is sold under the MONA L05 name.

The Chinese electric-vehicle manufacturer said it is preparing the L05 for a European market introduction in early 2027. Details of the European model’s powertrains, specifications, equipment and pricing will be provided at the Brussels event.

Five-seat family SUV positioned above the L03

XPENG describes the L05 as a spacious five-seat SUV positioned above the L03 SUV-coupé in its product range. The vehicle has been developed with an emphasis on cabin space and everyday use by families.

The Chinese-market MONA L05 measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,636 mm in height, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase. These measurements refer to the model presented in China; XPENG has yet to publish a complete European-market specification sheet.

Turing AI chip and VLA 2.0 software

The manufacturer says the L05 features its in-house Turing artificial-intelligence chip and a second-generation Vision-Language-Action system, known as VLA 2.0. XPENG describes the hardware and software combination as a way for the vehicle to interpret camera information and driving situations, supporting the operation of its driver-assistance features.

XPENG has not confirmed which specific driver-assistance functions will be enabled in European L05 vehicles. The company said details of the European system’s capabilities will form part of the January presentation.

Battery-electric and range-extended models in China

XPENG launched the Chinese-market MONA L05 on October 29 with six versions: four battery-electric models and two range-extended electric models that also use a petrol-powered generator. The Chinese-market battery-electric vehicles are listed with different range figures under the domestic CLTC test cycle.

The company’s Chinese launch announcement gave limited-time starting prices of 139,800 yuan for the 560 Plus battery-electric version, 149,800 yuan for the 535 Max and 159,800 yuan for the 635 Max. A higher-specification 635 Ultra SE was listed at 171,800 yuan. These prices are specific to a time-limited offer in China and are not European price announcements.

XPENG has not confirmed whether both Chinese-market powertrain types will be sold in Europe. Chinese CLTC range figures should not be treated as European WLTP homologation results.

European specifications due in January

According to the October 30 manufacturer statement, XPENG will announce its European launch details at the Brussels Motor Show, including technical specifications, equipment for local markets, powertrain options, driver-assistance features, prices and the exact start of sales.

The company has not yet published European WLTP range figures, final battery configurations or a confirmed customer delivery date for every European market.
